Itinerary
Day 1: Kariega River
Meet at Port Elizabeth airport and drive to our accommodation at Kariega River Mouth.
Check in. Walk down to river mouth, explore and fish the area depending on tide. Braai under the stars. (LD)
Day 2: Kariega River
Up early for bait collection (optional) and then get into some rock and surf fishing
Back to accommodation for lunch and perhaps a cold beer and a siesta. Optionally there is the beautiful beach to enjoy.
Later you can learn local bait collection techniques in preparation for putting the lines out at dusk; or you could relax and picnic on the beach.
We fish the river mouth at sunset and then head up for dinner on the deck at our accommodation.

Day 3: East London
After breakfast we take the scenic drive to East London and do a quick shop for supplies before heading to our accommodation to have lunch and check in.
In the afternoon there is the possibility of an offshore fishing charter, however this is weather dependent.

Day 4: Wild Coast
Today we cross the Kei River and enter the Transkei, the area in which Nelson Mandela was born. we drive the bumpy but scenic road to our accommodation situated on the banks of a pristine river mouth. Check in and have lunch.
The afternoon is yours to fish, explore, hike, boat cruise, bird-watch or all of the above and more.
After a traditional dinner in peaceful there another opportunity to target “the big one” by getting into some night fishing with live bait nearly from the door of your bedroom.

Day 5: Wild Coast
Today the Wild Coast is yours for a full day of beach, fishing and river activities on the secluded beach.
Tonight we enjoy the fruits of our fishing labour under the stars with a traditional fish braai.

Day 6: Wild Coast
The last morning is to be enjoyed as you like by sleeping in, getting out early to fish or paddle up the river or take a leisurely stroll up a seemingly endless beach.
After a hearty breakfast we pack up and begin to slowly wind our way back to East London past rolling green hills and traditional Xhosa settlements.
